On December 18, 2024, Worth County Middle School proudly hosted the Worth County School System's REACH Georgia Scholarship Signing Day Ceremony.
The REACH (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen) program is a scholarship initiative that begins in 8th grade. Scholars are paired with a mentor and an academic coach throughout high school and must maintain a 2.5 GPA in core classes, good behavior, and strong attendance. Scholars who successfully complete the program and graduate are awarded a $10,000 scholarship, which can be used at any HOPE-eligible institution in Georgia.

On Veterans Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Their sacrifices and dedication have shaped our nation and secured our freedoms. We are especially grateful for the many veterans in our community. Thank you, veterans, for your service and for inspiring us all.
Our Worth County Special Olympic Athletes recently attended the Area Games at Georgia Southwestern College. They competed in basketball and brought home several ribbons! We are so proud of these students and how they represented Worth County!
In November, State School Superintendent Richard Woods visited Worth County Middle School to present them with a Georgia’s Masters of Mathematics banner and ribbons in recognition of outstanding growth and achievement within 8th grade Mathematics as measured on the 2023-2024 Ga Milestones Assessment.
We are proud to partner with Varsity Tutors to provide all WCSD students with access to the Varsity Tutors platform at no cost. The platform offers: 24/7 on-demand chat tutoring, on-demand essay review, live enrichment and remediation classes, SAT and ACT test prep classes, celebrity-led StarCourse classes, self-study resources, and college and career readiness resources. Students access the platform through their CLEVER account.
