On December 18, 2024, Worth County Middle School proudly hosted the Worth County School System's REACH Georgia Scholarship Signing Day Ceremony.
The REACH (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen) program is a scholarship initiative that begins in 8th grade. Scholars are paired with a mentor and an academic coach throughout high school and must maintain a 2.5 GPA in core classes, good behavior, and strong attendance. Scholars who successfully complete the program and graduate are awarded a $10,000 scholarship, which can be used at any HOPE-eligible institution in Georgia.
We are pleased to announce the 2024-2025 REACH Scholars:
▪Cason Brown
▪ Colton Letchworth
▪ Destiney Nelson
▪ Escarlet Recendez
▪ Faith Rhodes
Special thanks to this year’s speaker, Mrs. Karen Rackley, and to this year's scholarship partners: The Sylvester Worth County Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, The Chase S. Osborn Trust, and the Georgia Student Finance Authority, for their generous donations.
Please join us in celebrating these scholars and their promising futures.

On Veterans Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Their sacrifices and dedication have shaped our nation and secured our freedoms. We are especially grateful for the many veterans in our community. Thank you, veterans, for your service and for inspiring us all.

Our Worth County Special Olympic Athletes recently attended the Area Games at Georgia Southwestern College. They competed in basketball and brought home several ribbons! We are so proud of these students and how they represented Worth County!
