If I Were Mayor Contest Winners

Sixth grade students participate in an annual "If I Were Mayor" essay contest. After they write an essay on that topic, winners are chosen. The 2019 winners were announced yesterday after Sylvester's Mayor, Bill Yearta, spoke to the sixth graders about his job as mayor.

1st place - Dakota Jordan
2nd place - Ansley Young
3rd place (tie) - Destini Thomas and Dakota Farmer

Sixth grade students recently wrote essays on the topic, " If I were mayor." Congratulations to the winners! These students will read their essays at the Mock City Council Meeting.
