What Worth County Schools Parents Need to Know
Protecting Georgia's Children on Social Media Act of 2024: Keeping students safe in the digital age
Georgia’s Social Media Act of 2024 requires all public schools to implement strong technology protection measures to prevent inappropriate use of technology and promote responsible digital citizenship.
Our district already:
Provides content filtering on all WCSD-issued devices both on campus and off campus
Enforces a Responsible Use Policy aligned with CIPA (Children’s Internet Protection Act) and FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)
Offers ongoing digital citizenship education for students
These efforts reflect our long-standing commitment to student safety and digital responsibility.
