History of Ram Radio / RamTV
Ram Radio is on the air! Ram Radio broadcasts over the internet at www.TheRamRadio.com and on the air at 102.7 WCHS-LP.
The online station started in September 2012 using the broadcast students at Worth County High School. Many folks have listened to the station in various locations around the world to keep track of football games, etc.
Low Power FM station 102.7 began as a construction permit in January 2014. Call letters WCHS-LP were assigned (with permission given by WCHS-TV and WCHS-AM in Charleston, WV) and construction began. Art Sutton, native son of Worth County, purchased and installed the equipment in honor of his parents Mack and Judy Sutton of Sumner. WCHS-LP began broadcasting on 102.7 in September 2014.
For more information about the station or for tax-deductible advertising information, call 229-776-8625.
RamTV is an ever-changing production. RamTV has produced the Ram News Network Morning Show since about 2005. The RamTV team helps with broadcasting other events (sports, concerts, etc.) at Worth County High. RamTV team also helps with projects in the community including video taping events or meetings, as well as providing content for the City of Sylvester's cable channel 16. The broadcast students assist with all of these productions. In February 2014, the closed circuit television system experienced much interference from new wireless internet installed in the building. The Morning Show ceased airing over this system and turned to youtube for posting all episodes. You can watch the latest episodes on www.youtube.com/wchsRamTV. The Morning Show team began reading announcements over the intercom each day, calling this new endeavor "RNN Live".
