Date Change for Georgia Milestones WCES & WCMS Georgia Milestones End of Grade Testing Dates - UPDATE

Due to missed instruction during our weather days this school term, the Georgia Milestones End of Grade (EOG) testing dates for grades 3rd through 8th have been changed to ensure all students are afforded adequate instructional time.  The updated EOG dates are April 15-23, 2019.  Please update your calendars to ensure all students are present each day for testing.
WCMS-April 15-19 and WCES-April 15-23.

PeachJar Logo PeachJar is Coming to Worth County Schools

Worth County Schools is getting ready to launch a new digital flyer communication tool call "PeachJar."  When PeachJar goes live in January 2019, school-approved digital flyers will be easily accessible by clicking the PeachJar link here on our webpage.  This initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs.

Jr. Beta Club Induction WCMS Jr. Beta Club Induction Ceremony

WCMS had its Jr. Bta Club Induction Ceremony.  New Jr. Beta Club members were welcomed into the club.

A. Adkins WCHS Senior, Abbey Adkins, Signs with Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College

Abbey Adkins, WCHS Senior and Lady Rams softball player, signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College as a student-athlete on Wednesday, November 14th.  Throughout her high school career, Abbey played different positions, including pitcher and shortstop. She is a fierce competitor that always works and plays hard.  Abbey had a career batting average of .329, 99 career hits, and five career home runs.  Congratulations, Abbey! We are very proud of you and your hard work and dedication!  #GoRams #RamPride

Terrific Kids WCPS Terrific Kids

Worth County Primary School recognized the following 2nd grade students for being selected as Terrific Kids for their class. 

Hank Hobby and Rose Warren - Heros for saving two student's lives Two WCSD Staff Members are Heroes

This week, two of our Worth County School District staff are considered heroes after saving students who were choking.  

Worth County Elementary School teacher, Hank Hobby, saw a child choking on a jawbreaker and without a second thought, quickly administered the Heimlich maneuver on the student to save him.  

A WCSD Bus Driver, Rose Warren arrived at WCHS to pick up students and a student ran to her in distress, grabbing his throat.  She performed the Heimlich maneuver causing the candy to dislodge and save the student.

Worth County Schools is very proud of the actions of these two staff members for stepping in to do whatever is needed to keep our students safe.  Both students are ok.

Kajeet®, the industry leader for safe, K-12 mobile solutions, announces the winners of its second annual Homework Gap Grant. Winners span the nation, from California to Maine. Each applicant offered an inspiring story about how Kajeet can help their students succeed with filtered and managed mobile connectivity.  When devices arrive, we will update student/parents of the check-out process.

Worth County School District staff members came together August 7th to Kick-Off the 2018-2019 school year.  

WCSD New Staff Members 2018-2019 Welcome to Worth County Schools!

New Hire Orientation for the 2018-2019 school year brings all of Worth County School District's new staff members together.  This year, we welcome 28 staff members to the RAM family! We have staff members that are new to the profession, staff members that are returning to our district, and many who are graduates of Worth County Schools.  #RAMPRIDE

Infinite Campus Infinite Campus Parent Portal

Infinite Campus is our district-wide student information system.  The Infinite Campus Parent Portal provides parents with a fast and convenient way to check student grades, schedules, attendance, and other resources.

At the monthly meeting, each school's Teacher of the Year was recognized and the WCSD Teacher of the Year was announced.  Congratulations Mrs. Langley from Worth County Primary School!

New WCHS College and Career Academy Front View New Worth County High School College and Career Academy Construction is Moving Along

The construction of the new Worth County High School College and Career Academy is moving along on schedule.  It is set to open in August 2018.
