Due to the threat of severe weather, Worth County School District will close for students and staff tomorrow, April 19, 2019. GMAS testing will resume Monday.

Transportation Day Transportation Day

Pre-K and Kindergarten students enjoyed Transportation Day at WCPS Friday, 03/08. Each class visited stations with different kinds transportation (ambulance, bucket truck, fire truck, bus, truck, car, boat, etc). Students learned about the importance of transportation and how people depend on it to get to their jobs. They also learned that some kinds of transportation are required to complete jobs in our community. Students at WCPS also had the opportunity to see the Life Flight helicopter land.

School Bus New Bus Safety Law - Senate Bill 25 Signed into Law

Governor Kemp signed into immediate effect Senate Bill 25 to improve school bus safety for families and children across Georgia.  Click below for more information about SB 25.

Worth County Primary School recognized the following 2nd grade students for being selected as Terrific Kids for their class.  The Terrific Kids program is sponsored by our local Kiwanis Club of Sylvester.  Students pictured are (l-r) Major Toomer, Macie Gaddy, and Ja'Kyla Alford.  Terrific Kids not present at the breakfast were Keagan Carroll, Natalie Guy, and Jackie Neal.  Students were recognized by Kiwanis Club members Jean Brooks, Kyle Tomlinson, Principal Jared Worthy, and Jay Crowe.

WCSD School Bus WCSS Bus Transportation Requirements for 2018-2019

As we begin the 2018-2019 school year, WCSS continues to focus on student safety on our school buses.  Riding a school bus is an extension of the school day and students are expected to follow the same rules of respect and follow directions as they would in the school building.  Please find the WCSS Bus Transportation Rules for 2018-2019 at the link below.
