Mr. Richard Woods, Georgia State Superintendent of Schools, recently visited WCES. While here, Mr. Woods visited with several fourth grade classrooms and presented them with the book, "The Words That Built America". This book contains the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, the Amendments to the Constitution, the Pledge of Allegiance, and Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. Students in fourth grade are presently studying the Constitution, so the timing was perfect! Also joining Mr. Woods on this visit were Georgia State Representative, Mr. Bill Yearta, and WCSD Superintendent, Mr. Nehemiah Cummings. To view more pictures, please click here.
