8th-grade students in Mrs. Rachels' class used paper airplanes to investigate force and motion.  They made paper airplanes out of different types of paper and tested to see which paper type flew the furthest.  Next, they modified the airplanes using paper clips, tape, and other objects and tested the flight distance again.  One airplane traveled 40 feet!
