WCHS Attendance Awareness Month

Attendance Awareness

September is Attendance Awareness Month. Research shows that a high school student that is chronically absent is 7.4x more likely to drop out than their peers. We want to encourage students to be present everyday, not just in the month of September. To celebrate Attendance Awareness Month, WCHS SGA is partnering with the Attendance Office to promote student attendance. All students that have perfect attendance (present for all assigned periods) during the month of September will be placed into a drawing for free homecoming dance tickets. A pair of tickets will be given away for EACH grade level (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades). The drawing will take place on Thursday, September 27 during 7th period. Remember you must be present all day, every day during the month of September (September 4 - September 27) to be eligible! Regular Attendance Means Success!!
