WCHS FFA Students Exhibit Livestock

FFA Taylor Layfield

WCHS FFA students exhibited livestock at the Georgia Junior Livestock Show in Perry, GA on February 21st-24th, 2018.

Luke Gwines, Adam Ivey, Rachel Rigsby, and Rebecca Rigsby all exhibited swine. These students all placed in the top 10 in their respective weight classes with both barrows and gilts. This is quite an accomplishment considering each weight class averages 35 animals.

On Saturday, students exhibited Breeding Does and Breeding Ewes. Adam Ivey placed 5th with his Breeding ewe. Ragen Bozeman and Rylan Bozeman (8th grader) both won their Showmanship classes in the Breeding Doe Show.  To end our very successful trip, Taylor Layfield’s Breeding Doe was selected as Grand Champion.

Congratulations to these students!  We are very proud of your hard work and dedication! #RamPride
