Students Compete In Worth County Hog Show 2018

Rebecca Rigsby Local Hog Show


The annual Worth County Hog Show was held February 3 at the Worth County Ag Pavilion. The show allowed Worth County 4-H and FFA members the opportunity to exhibit their show animals on a local level. Mr. Jack Wall was the judge.

Luke Gwines, Rachel Rigsby, and Adam Ivey exhibited their animals as Worth County High School FFA Members. Rebecca Rigsby, Peyton Gwines, Cade Pott, and Tyler Mullis exhibited their animals as members of  Worth County 4-H.

During the showmanship portion of the show, Tyler Mullis was selected as the Junior Division Showmanship Champion, Peyton Gwines was the Intermediate Division Champion and Rebecca Rigsby won the Senior Division.

The Grand Champion Barrow was exhibited by Luke Gwines and the Reserve Champion Barrow was shown by Rebecca Rigsby. Rachel Rigsby exhibited the Grand Champion Gilt as her sister, Rebecca showed the Reserve Champion Gilt.

These students will continue to exhibit their hogs throughout Georgia until the State 4-H and FFA Market Hog show which will be held in Perry, Ga. during the Georgia 4-H and FFA State Livestock Show.
