Principal's Award

Mr. Calhoun honored students with the Principal’s Award on Friday, October 13th during an awards breakfast. This ceremony honored students who have achieved excellence in academics, clubs, or athletics during the first nine weeks of school.  We are so proud these students and their accomplishments!

 

HONORS AND RECOGNITIONS

First Nine Weeks

 

Ragan Bozeman won 12th grade showmanship at the Georgia Young Farmers Association Goat Show in Perry. 

 

Maxwell Cumbie - Academic excellence on the US History AP exam during 2016-17 school year.

 

Delia Garza - Academic excellence on the US History AP exam during 2016-17 school year.

 

Janya Green -  4-H club- “Farm Manager” and the Garden manager at the Village Community Garden.

 

Luke Gwines - Top 10 in 11th grade showmanship at the Georgia Young Farmers Association Goat Show in Perry. 

 

David James - Placed in the Top 10 on the DECA GA only testing for Marketing Math.  David has earned an Academy slot at the DECA National ICDC in April & will be recognized on stage at the DECA State CDC in February. He placed in the top 10 out of 137 students.

 

Jessica Lane - Georgia High School Reader of the Year

 

Taylor Layfield - Won 2nd place at the Georgia Young Farmers Association Goat Show in Perry. 

 

Belle Pritchard - Competed in the FFA Quiz CDE. She placed 2nd and will be representing WCHS FFA at the state Quiz competition in December. 

 

Day Leigh Story - Selected to serve on the State Superintendent Student Advisory Counsel.

 

Jaiden Thompson - Academic excellence on the US History AP exam during 2016-17 school year.
