WCHS Students Compete In Local Goat and Lamb Show


The annual Worth County Goat and Lamb Show was held September 9 at the Worth County Ag Pavilion. The show allowed Worth County 4-H and FFA members the opportunity to exhibit their show animals on a local level. Mr. Jon-Paul Martin of Albany was the judge.


Taylor Layfield, Luke Gwines, Ragen Bozeman and Adam Ivey exhibited their animals as Worth County High School FFA Members. Worth County Middle School was represented by Rylan Bozeman and Parker Weaver. Brady Weaver and Peyton Gwines exhibited their animals as members of  Worth County 4-H.


During the showmanship portion of the show Brady Weaver was selected as the Junior Division Showmanship Champion, Rylan Bozeman was the Intermediate Division Champion and Ragen Bozeman won the Senior Division.


The Grand Champion wether goat was exhibited by Rylan Bozeman and the Reserve Champion wether goat was shown by Taylor Layfield. Ragen Bozeman exhibited the Grand Champion Doe as her sister, Rylan showed the Reserve Champion Doe.


These students will continue to exhibit their sheep and goats throughout Georgia until the State 4-H and FFA Market Sheep and Goat show which will be held in Perry, Ga. during the Georgia National Fair.
