WCHS Athletics Awarded All Three GHSA Region 1-AAA Athletic Awards

Worth County High School Athletics were awarded all three of the GHSA Region 1-AAA athletic awards for the 2016-2017 school year.  This is the first time since the GHSA started presenting the three awards that one school has claimed all three awards.

Awards include:

All-Sports Champions
The All-Sports Championship is the first ever for Worth County High School.  The trophy is based on points that each school is given according to placement per sport.  Literary and One Act Play count towards the standings since they are GHSA activities.  Worth County High School's athletic program accumulated the most points to win the championship.

GHSA Sportsmanship Champions
The GHSA Sportsmanship Champions award is selected when each school in Region 1-AAA casts votes for the school they feel exhibited the best sportsmanship during the school year.

Athletic Director of the Year: Coach Frankie Carroll
Each of the Region 1-AAA schools casts votes for the athletic director that they feel manages the best sports program.
